Europe DIDN’T “forget real quick” and neither did Canada. It is Maga that so often conveniently forgets their own history. When Germany invaded Poland in September 1939 setting off World War II, Britain & France were the first to respond on September 3. Canada declared war on Germany nine days later on September 10.


President Roosevelt, (a Democrat) was personally in favour of supporting the Allies in World War II from the start but 94% of the U.S. population believed it wasn’t their war - until it was.


Onl December 8, 1941 Japan bombed Pearl Harbour and the United States was FORCED to enter the theater of warI. Germany and Italy also declared war on the U.S. just 3 days later.


The U.S. participation in World War II did not begin until over 2 years after the war had begun and only because THEY were personally under attack.


It should also be noted that NO leader of any of the Allied Countries ever once looked back and said “we never needed their help” as Trump has so often done when every NATO country and more came to the aid of the U.S. following 911.

That it hardly becomes any of us, To speak evil of the rest of us.” Feast and your halls are crowded. Fast and the world goes by. Succeed and give will help you live, But no one can help you die. I found this poem in a photo album/scrap book that my paternal grandfather received from Santa in 1905 when he was 7 years old. Judging from some other writings in this book, it appears it was written by his mother. However I do not know if she created it or borrowed it from another source. Although it was undated, it had to have been written between December 1905 and December of 1907 when my grandfather’s mother died. It starts out with a humbling message and ends on kind of a morbid note. Has anyone ever seen this poem before or know anything about its origin?
