Meme Debunked - America’s So Called Allies

It’s important to understand the background surrounding this meme to fully appreciate just how ridiculous it is.

On February 28, 2026 under Trump’s orders, the U.S. launched an attack on Iran. For the purpose of this meme it’s not necessary to recognize it was an illegal attack ordered without the consent of congress, that the attack was made on false pretenses, who it would really benefit or anything else. It’s just important to know that Trump attacked Iran.

Less than a month later, Trump realized he was in over his head, but of course his foolish pride would not permit him to admit it. Russia has been aiding Iran in the ongoing conflict. Trump didn’t see that coming. Trump thought he and Putin were buddies.

Zelensky, the president of Ukraine offered to help the U.S. with their expertise in drone warfare against Iran. Trump had spent the last year ridiculing and bullying Zelensky so his pride wouldn’t let him go hat-in-hand to accept help from Ukraine.

But the fact remained, Trump did need help. So he called on other countries around the world to help out.

One has to question if the United States even has any allies anymore?

For the last year Trump has been shitting on just about every country around the world, ridiculing their leaders, breaking existing trade deals, imposing unreasonable tariffs, bullying them at every opportunity he had and invading and threatening to invade even ALLIED countries. Trump has threatened and lied to and about everyone.

So it should be no big surprise now that no one now had much interest in offering Trump any assistance after all the abuse they have suffered at his hands. But Trump’s ego is so big he can’t handle rejection of any kind so when help was denied, Trump claimed he didn’t really need the help anyway, “It was all just a test to prove that NATO member countries were freeloaders”. Yep - sounds like the reaction of a 5th grader and even that may be an insult to 5th graders.

Of course there are two fundamental flaws to the whole premise of this meme.

The first being that NATO’s mandate is to aid any member country that is under attack by another country, NOT to aid a member country that is attacking another country. See the difference? There is NO obligation or expectation of any NATO country to come to the aid of the U.S. in this situation. And given the circumstances, in what world would any reasonable person even expect it after all of Trump’s blatant and unjust transgressions?

The second flaw in this premise has to do with Trump’s lack of recognition of help that has been provided to the U.S. in the past. At the World Economic Forum in Switzerland in January, 2026 Trump whined that European Allies and NATO countries have taken advantage of the U.S. and he wondered if NATO would be there for the U.S. in their time of need.

Trump said, “But the problem with NATO is that we’ll be there for them 100%. But I’m not sure that they’d be there for us if we gave them the call, “Gentlemen we are being attacked. We’re under attack by such and such a nation.” I know them all very well. I’m not sure that they’d there. I know we’d be there for them. I don’t know that they’d be there for us.”

Talk about a slap in the face! NATO had long ago proved they would be there for the U.S. when the U.S. was attacked on September 11, 2001!

NATO’s Article 5 states that an attack against one member is an attack against all. In NATO’s history Article 5 has only ever been invoked ONCE to defend who? The United States Of America when Osama Bin Laden brought the U.S. to their knees during 9/11.

And Trump has the audacity to question if anyone would help the U.S.?

ALL 18 NATO nations responded by joining the U.S. in Afghanistan following 9/11 sending tens of thousands of troops to fight for the U.S. Over 1,100 casualties were suffered by non-U.S. NATO member countries and Trump wonders if anyone would come to their aid? Trump might very well have said that all the support of all these countries and the over 1,100 deaths of these soldiers were worth nothing.

And beyond NATO, every year the U.S. frequently requires the assistance of firefighters from countries such as Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Portugal and even Ukraine but Trump frequently claims that they don’t need the help of any other country?

Over 150 countries and international organizations sent money, supplies and/or people to help the U.S. following Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Even Venezuela and Cuba offered to send help!

What excuse for a human being would treat their allies like this and still expect their help, particularly in a situation he should have never gotten himself into in the first place?

Feeling Great Again Yet, America?
