Stove Top Meatloaf

- jim Young 20200422 It just doesn't get any easier than this. Take these 4 simple ingredients, mix them together and throw it in the oven to cook. The stove top dressing spices give the meatloaf a unique flavour and will delight all. Leftovers also make great sandwiches. Prep Time:   15 min. Cook Time: 1 hour Total Time: 1 hour, 15 min. Servings: 4 Stuff Required: 2 eggs, beaten 1 box of stove top dressing ½ cup ketchup 1 lb ground beef Do This: Preheat oven to 350° F. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. Shape into a loaf in a baking pan. Cook for about 1 hour or until cooked through.

Homemade Tomato Soup

- jim Young 20200421 Forget Campbell's Tomato Soup. This is a quick and easy way to make your own homemade tomato soup from scratch. If you prefer your soup not quite so thick leave out the flour. Don't be afraid to experiment with different herbs and spices such as basil, rosemary or thyme instead of, or along with the oregano. Prep Time: 5 min. Cook Time: 45 min. Total Time: 50 mon. Servings: 4 Stuff Required: 4 heaping tbsp butter ¼ cup flour (omit if you don’t wish your soup to be thick) ½ sweet onion chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 20 oz tomatoes, whole, peeled 1 ½ cups chicken broth Salt 1 tbsp oregano Croutons or crackers Do This: Melt butter in a large pot on medium. Stir in flour. Add onions and garlic and cook for a minute. Add tomatoes with their juice and the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Add salt and oregano to taste. - jim Young 2020204 The secret to really good shepherd's pie of course is to use real German Shepherd. If you're too squeamish for that you can always substitute ground beef. Prep. Time : 1 hour Cook Time: 20 min. Total Time: 1 hour, 20 min. Servings: 12 Stuff Required: 10 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into small pieces 3 tbsp cooking oil 1 large onion Spanish type, chopped 2 cubes of beef bouillon 1 ½ pounds of "ground beef" *wink* wink* 1 cup vegetables, mixed, frozen 2 tsps garlic salt (divided) 1 tsp salt (divided) 1 tsp pepper (divided) ½ sweet pepper, seeded & chopped ½ cup milk 2 tbsp margarine or butter (divided) 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated Do This: Preheat oven to 425° F.  Boil potatoes. Brown onions in oil in a frying pan. Dissolve bouillon in ¾ cup of boiling water. Add beef, vegetables, 1 tsp of garlic salt, ½ tsp salt, ½ tsp pepper, sweet pepper and bouillon mix to onions in the frying pan. Continue to cook. Mas

- jim Young 202004 All you have to do is add some mashed potatoes and a side dish of veggies and you have a quick and easy meal ready for dinner. Prep Time: 10 min. Bake Time: 40 min. Total Time: 50 min. Servings: 2 Stuff Required: ½ tbsp Worcestershire sauce 1 tbsp vinegar 1 tsp brown sugar ¼ tsp pepper ¼ tsp chili powder ¼ tsp paprika ⅓ cup ketchup ¼ cup hot water 2 pork loin chops Do This: Preheat the oven to 375° F. Mix the first 8 ingredients in an oven-proof casserole dish.  Add pork chops, coating both sides with the sauce. Bake uncovered for 40 minutes, turning chops halfway through cooking.

- jim Young 202004 These dinner rolls are quick and easy to make from scratch with ingredients you probably already have on hand. No yeast is required so it's practically fool proof. Prep Time: 10 min. Cook Time: 45 min. Total Time: 55 min. Servings: 10 rolls Stuff Required: 2 cups flour 2 tsp baking powder 2 tsp salt 1 cup milk 4 tbsp mayo 1 egg, beaten Do This: Preheat oven to 350° F. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Spoon into a greased muffin pan. Brush egg on top of each muffin. Cook for 40 to 45 minutes or until golden brown and cooked in the middle. Tip: Cook the leftover beaten egg in microwave for a couple of minutes until fluffy and make it into a toasted egg sandwich for a nice snack.

Slow Cooker Stove Top Turkey Stuffing

- jim Young 20200411 Whether it's Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas or any other occasion that calls for a turkey dinner, you can never have enough stuffing; even if it's just for leftovers. Make this stuffing the day before if you wish so you'll have plenty of time to prepare your other dishes. Stuff Required: 1 cup butter or margarine 2 cups onions, chopped 2 cups celery, chopped ¼ cup parsley 2 cans (10 oz/284 ml) mushroom pieces 3 quarts (12 cups) bread, dried (cubed or crumbled to your preference) 1 tsp poultry seasoning 1 ½ tsp sage 1 tsp thyme ½ tsp pepper ¼ tsp garlic powder 800 ml chicken or turkey broth 2 medium eggs, beaten Do This: Melt butter or margarine in a large frying pan and saute onion, celery parsley and mushrooms.
