(Craigvale) Home of Alice Young & Family when she first kept her Diary from 1902 to 1905. Painted by William's cousin May Palmer. This photo was taken in 1910. In the early 1900s it was the home of Alice Young's in-laws. Alice and her family moved there from across the road in September 1905. She died in this house in December 1907. No One Can Help You Die

Alice Rebecca Maneer Young 1873-1907 - jim Young and Alice (Maneer) Young poem circa 1905-1907 "There is so much bad in the best of us, And so much good in the worst of us. That it hardly becomes any of us, To speak evil of the rest of us.” Feast and your halls are crowded. Fast and the world goes by. Succeed and give will help you live, But no one can help you die. I found this poem in a photo album/scrap book that my paternal grandfather received from Santa in 1905 when he was 7 years old. Judging from some other writings in this book, it appears it was written by his mother. However I do not know if she created it or borrowed it from another source. Although it was undated, it had to have been written between December 1905 and December of 1907 when my grandfather’s mother died. It starts out with a humbling message and ends on kind of a morbid note. Has anyone ever seen this poem before or know anything about its origin? How Quickly They Forget

Eugen Hansen Is anyone else getting tired of Trump’s constant whining about how no one will help the U.S. in their war with Iran?  This isn’t the first time Trump has threatened to leave NATO, complaining that no other countries would come to the aid of the U.S. if they ever needed it.  Trump seems to forget how often the whole world has been there for the U.S. in their hour of need. Trump feels that NATO countries' support in his war with Iran should have been automatic.  But Trump isn’t very well informed. And neither are his MAGA supporters who believe everything Trump tells them. What Trump doesn’t seem to understand is, the mandate of NATO is to come to the aid of any NATO country that is under attack, not to support them in wars that they start.
