Is Mother Nature Plotting To Kill Her Offspring Through Covid-19?

Maybe we’re going about this all wrong.
Maybe we should just open up our doors, set everybody free and go back to normal, pretending that nothing is going on.
Ignore the problem.
That’s what most people seem to want anyway and hey - we’re all about democracy aren’t we? The majority rules.
Even if those that are actively protesting against the lockdowns don’t actually make up the majority - add to that number, all those that would just go along with it and I’m pretty sure you’ll have a quorum.
Nothing’s going on. Everything is fine just the way it is.
That’s how we’re handling climate change isn’t it?
Covi-19? Faggedaboutit!
It’s just a virus. Ebola, Hantavirus, West Nile, Swine Flu even SARs - they were all just a big nothing. They went away and Covid-19 will too.
What exactly is a virus anyway? It’s just a tiny, insignificant living thing that’s nothing more than a pain in the ass to man. Hell - they are so insignificant that you never even see any of those animal and environmental activists protesting to save them - even though some viruses are actually good viruses.
You’ll never see Greenpeace out there protesting “Save Covid-19”. A polar bear would just as soon eat you as look at you but we have to save all the Polar Bears. Why not save Covid-19 too?
A lot of people think Covid-19 is some kind of government or big business conspiracy.
I don’t.
How the hell could you get every country in the world to go along with a plot of this magnitude when it took 27 countries 3 months just to decide on the shape of the table for the Paris Peace talks in 1968? No wonder it went on for years.
Let Mother Nature look after Covid-19. Or your god if you have one.
Have you ever noticed that Mother Nature seems to take care of herself anyway?
Neglect your laneway for a few years and see what happens? It won’t take long before weeds will start growing between the cracks and, given enough time, there will be little left of your nice paved laneway.
Take a walk past any deserted structure or even a ghost town and you will see evidence of Mother Nature reclaiming what is rightfully hers.
Mother Nature was quick (in terms of Mother Nature time) to repair the hole in her ozone layer ever since we quit squirting freon into the air.
In the short few weeks man has been in self-isolation Mother Nature has already taken action around the world. The people in China where this all began are starting to breathe some of the cleanest air they have felt in their lungs for many decades.
The reduction in pollution over Italy has been observed from space while the air quality index in New Delhi, the world’s most polluted capital city, has dropped to 93 from a typical 150 in March.
Fewer vehicles on the roads has led to less wildlife mortality at a time when many animals are coming out of hibernation and winter seclusion.
Turtles and other animals are starting to reclaim the beaches that were typically crowded with tourists and their trash at this time of year.
Could it be Covid-19 is a plot of Mother Nature to get man to realize the extent of damage we have caused on her property? Not likely. Mother Nature’s too smart for that.
Mother Nature knows that once man has been released from his self-imposed prison he will soon go back to his evil ways. And even if man does learn something from all this, he will just come up with some new evil ways anyway.
I think what is more likely is that Mother Nature is plotting to get rid of mankind completely. She wants to wipe man off the face of the earth just as man would do to the polar bears.
An exhibit in Bronx Zoo in 1963 had a sign that read, “The Most Dangerous Animal In The World.”
Visitors that peered between the bars were treated to their reflection in a large mirror, beneath which a placard explained, “You are looking at the most dangerous animal in the world. It alone, of all the animals that ever lived can exterminate (and has) entire species of animals. Now it has achieved the power to wipe out all life on earth.”
I don’t think Mother Nature views man as an animal though. I think Mother Nature views man as a virus. Just a tiny, insignificant living thing that’s nothing more than a pain in the ass to Mother Nature.
In the beginning, Mother Nature was just trying to warn us when she released plagues and viruses like the black plague and the Spanish Flu upon the world. She thought we would sit up and take notice.
But we didn’t.
Now Mother Nature is pulling out her big guns. She thought she had us with West Nile and SARS but mankind fought back. Not to be outdone, Mother Nature struck again with Swine Flu, Ebola and Zika. “Damn,” Mother Nature muttered under her breath when it was all over, “THAT didn’t work.”
Man continued on his merry, selfish way.
Frustrated, Mother Nature decided to take her gloves off. “Eat this, motherfuckers,” Mother Nature screamed as she placed the Covid-19 virus into a bat’s head.
In the meantime we sit in our homes anxiously waiting for it all to be over. We have accepted that things will never go back to normal, we just want it to be all over so we can greet our new normal and have at it.
And that’s our next big mistake. Thinking that it will be all over. If we survive Covid-19, what does Mother Nature have up her sleeve for us next?
